The Plataforma Española de NanoMedicina (Spanish NanoMedicine Platform) aims to bring together the most important Spanish researchers, industries and administrations, in order to promote a common strategy in such a multidisciplinary field as nanomedicine. The biomedical and biotechnological industrial sectors playing the leading role in the Plataforma, very actively supported by technology centres, research organisations, universities and hospitals, as well as by the Spanish public administration. What is Nanomedicine? Nanomedicine includes the different direct applications of nanobiotechnology in the treatment, prevention and diagnosis of human diseases. Nanobiotechnology is the use of nanometric-scale (0.000000001 metre) materials and structures in interaction with biological material. |
